A Unique Maine Experience…
Fern Hill Farm is located halfway between Portland, Maine, and North Conway, New Hampshire, in the heart of the lakes region. Nestled among the lakes and foothills of western Maine, Fern Hill Farm awaits your visit in any season.
Our 1870 home is a unique vacationing experience for individuals and families alike, blending comfortable, country accomodations with a small working farm atmosphere. The farm features a herd of Nubian dairy goats and a variety of laying hens. We produce quality goat cheeses and goat’s milk soap on the premises.
Amy Jensen prides herself on her hearty homemade breakfasts cooked to order. Meals are prepared using the farm’s own resources, from the artisan goat cheeses to the farm fresh eggs gathered daily. The small size of our inn means personal service at it’s best.
Naples offers many activities in all seasons. Long Lake and Sebago Lake are the features in the summertime, offering some of Maine’s finest fishing, boating, and swimming. There are numerous golf courses in the region, as well as charming antique stores, fine restaurants, and living history museums such as the last remaining Shaker Village at Sabbathday Lake, and Bridgton's Naramissic Farm.
The Lakes Region is a perfect area for autumn leaf watching. The view of the snow capped Mt. Washington from Fern Hill Farm is especially striking in October. The wintertime offers it’s own activities as well. We are twenty minutes from Shawnee Peak’s downhill ski trails. We offer cross country skiing at the farm as well. There are snowmobile trails adjacent to our property.
Visit the area’s activities and then relax in our home by the soapstone woodstove or on our back porch. You can curl up with one of our resident cats or watch them play in our field bordered by old stone walls.
We welcome your visit and know you will enjoy our farm!
